Email or Web Page responses?

email service flow The Small Business Advice Service is backed by 200+accredited business advisers located throughout the country.
Our advisers are busy working with clients and may even be out of office when an enquiry is allocated to them. Vistors who have submitted enquiries are also likely to be busy and do not want to have to repeatedly check a web site for their response.
To overcome these problems the sba service uses email to transfer enquiries and responses between Advisers and visitors. This has the major advantage that enquiries and responses can be collected when convenient.
In summary the Enquiry process is;
  • Visitors login
  • Enquiries submitted through a web page form
  • Sba service allocates each Enquiry to an Adviser
  • Converts the enquiry into an email
  • Email enquiry sent to Adviser
  • Adviser picks up email and replies to sba
  • Sba forwards reply to visitor's emal address
In some cases users will not have access to email, or will choose not to receive responses at their existing Email addresses (perhaps its an email address at the current place of work!).

pcp based service flow

To meet the needs to these users the service supports the concept of a Personal Communications Page (PCP)

A PCP is a private web page created by the service and belonging to the visitor. Copies of the visitor's Enquiries and related Responses are posted to the PCP (rather than an external email address) and can be reviewed through any Web browser at any time once the visitor has logged in.

A PCP provides a convenient way of recording Enquiries and Responses if a visitor doesn't have a suitable Email service.

You request the PCP option by checking the appropriate button on the Registration form, or by amending your Details record at some future date.
